Terms of Use

BeatTheBookie is a free-to-play game that uses play money only. You cannot deposit money, wager real money, or win cash, prizes or anything of real-world value. Play dollars, bonus bets, boosts, chests and every other in-game item have no cash value and can never be withdrawn, sold, transferred or exchanged for money or goods.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the developer of BeatTheBookie ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the BeatTheBookie app or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app; where these Terms and Apple's terms differ, these Terms govern between you and us, and Apple is not responsible for the Service.

2. Who can play

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you are. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we will delete the account.

4. Your account

Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. Give accurate information, choose a display name and username that aren't offensive or misleading, and don't impersonate anyone. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account).

5. Purchases

Apple processes all in-app purchases under Apple's terms. Purchases (such as Ad-Free and chests) only unlock in-game extras or remove ads; they never buy money or anything of real-world value, and consumable items are used up when delivered. Except where the law or Apple's policies require otherwise, purchases are non-refundable; refund requests go through Apple. Chest contents are random, and the odds for each chest are shown before you buy.

6. Play fair

Don't cheat, exploit bugs, use bots, scripts, modified apps or automated access, interfere with the Service or other players, or try to access data or accounts that aren't yours. We may detect and reverse results, balances or rewards obtained this way, and suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Play money and items in a suspended or closed account are lost; because they have no cash value, no compensation is owed.

7. Chat and content

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, threatening, spam, or anything about real-money gambling or payments. You can report and block players in the app; we review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts. By posting, you give us a license to store and display that content to the members of the challenge it was posted in, for as long as needed to run the Service.

8. Ads and third parties

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Sports data and team, league and athlete names belong to their owners; their appearance in the Service does not mean they endorse or sponsor BeatTheBookie. BeatTheBookie is not affiliated with any league, team, athlete, sportsbook or data provider.

9. Changes and availability

The Service is provided for fun and may change, pause or end at any time. We may reset, rebalance or remove play money, challenges, rewards, leaderboards or features, for example to fix errors or keep the game fair. We may update these Terms; if the changes are significant we'll let you know in the app, and continuing to use the Service means you accept them.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy of odds, scores or results, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Bets are graded from public results data, and we may correct grading errors.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of play money, items, data or enjoyment. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if greater. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

12. Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
